Roots: mov(e), mot(e)

You will see the roots mov and mot in lots of words, such as movable and motion. These words came into the English language from Latin words that mean "to move."  You can add prefixes at the beginning of the word.  Add re-, and you get the word remove.  You can add suffixes after the root, too.  Add -ion to mot, and you get the word motion.
